The First Lutheran Church welcomes you to worship with us.  First Lutheran is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

The summer worship schedule starts on Sunday, May 24  with one service at       9 a.m. alternating each Sunday between the traditional and contemporary service.  Communion is offered the first and second Sunday of the month.  There is no Sunday School during the summer months.

From September to Memorial Day we offer a contemporary service each Sunday at 8 a.m. and a traditional service at 10:30 a.m.  Communion is offered the first and third Sunday of the month.  Sunday School for ages 3 through adult is available at 9:15 a.m.

Paxton First Lutheran Church invites all the children (Pre-school through 5th grade) in Paxton and surrounding areas to join us at "Kingdom of the Son!"  We're ready for a Vacation Bible School your children will never forgot.  Kingdom of the Son creates a fun and exciting safari atmosphere where children will have a great time singing, watching skits, creating crafts and playing games.  But most important, they'll discover how to get to know God through prayer.  Bible School begins June 22nd and continues through June 26.  The program will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Paxton from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  For information call the Church office at 379-2982 or Tammy Belanger at 396-7382.  Attached is a registration form and a Wish List of materials that are needed for bible school.  Your help ensures a VBS success!  You can bring any of the listed items to the church office by June 20.
Shut-In Mission--If you would enjoy hearing our Sunday morning worship services but are unable to make it to church, you can receive the service on CD.  Please call the church office for a copy to be given to you.  A CD player can be made available as well.
Food Sunday is designated as the first Sunday of the month.  Please bring canned foods, non-perishable foods, paper, and soap products for the Food County Food Pantry at Rt. 45 and E. Summer Street.  The pantry is open every Thursday and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

Remember...SAVE THOSE CANS!  The High School Lutheran Youth are collecting cans to help them pay for their trip to New Orleans next year.  Please help them by bringing your empty cans and depositing them into the containers located at each main entrance and the entrance by the office.  Thank you for helping support the LYO!
